The purpose of early-stage support groups is to provide a safe and supportive environment of peers who are living in the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease or related dementia and the care partners. These groups offer dementia-related education, emotional support, and connections with resources so that the group members may enhance their lives in the midst of the disease.
MEMORY MAKERSis a six-week educational support program for individuals living with early-stage memory loss and their family care partners. Through a combination of presentations on pertinent topics from local experts, and support group discussions with peers, families learn how to live well with memory loss. This virtual group is offered in the spring, summer, and fall. Contact Duke Dementia Family Support Program for more information. 919-660-7510
