Support Fête x Femme’s, production of a locally-produced, queer/female-driven feature film! The evening will include wine + beer, hors d’oeuvres, a silent auction and live music. Filmmakers Julia Christgau (she/her) and Andie Morgenlander (she/they) will speak about their creative process and screen an excerpt of the short film.

After a short version of Whistle Down Wind played the Southeastern film festival circuit and was well-received, the filmmakers decided to adapt the short into a feature-length script which they’re aiming to shoot in May of 2022. In the film, an introverted artist, Janie, and an outgoing people pleaser, Alex, struggle through a best-friendship turned hidden love affair as they uncover their identities in the suffocating, patriarchal culture of the American South.

The cast and crew will be predominantly from the Asheville community, many identifying with the LGBT+ experience. Co-creators Andie and Julia are implementing a filmmaking framework on-set that supports healing and artists of different lived experiences.

Sponsors for Fête x Femme include: Wicked Weed, Vīdl Winery, Everyday Gourmet Catering, Metro Wines, Smoky Park Supper Club, Fusion Day Spa, In-Blue Handmade, Divination Tattoo, Zambra, …and more!

We will be unveiling over a dozen awesome silent auction items. All silent auction donations will be tax-deductible. One hundred percent of the evening’s proceeds will go towards the production of Whistle Down Wind.

Cocktail attire encouraged.

If you’re unable to attend and would still like to support the film, select the “Donation” ticket and add any dollar amount. Thank you!

See you at 350 Riverside Drive #3141, Asheville, NC 28801!  December 7, 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm

Holistic Perspectives P.O. Box 333, Enka, NC 2872  Phone: (828) 333-0103  | siljoy@me.com or  www.HolisticPerspectives.com For many years now I have been mentoring men and women from all walks of life. It continues to be my greatest joy to accompany someone from “just being ok” into thriving! As a Mentor & Healer I partner with my clients in creating authenticity, wellness and deep contentment, in whatever area of their lives they are seeking change. The combination of giving very practical, livable tools for direct “next steps” while “holding the big picture” and then manifesting that big picture often feels like this: a new client brings me their life or life situation in a jigsaw puzzle box, they lost the lid and forgot what the picture on it looked like. I am good at knowing that picture and then guiding my clients/mentees to put all the puzzle pieces together.
