Jay Thomas writes sensual music with beats and string arrangements that evoke fantasy and escapism, while addressing grief, trauma, and human rights. His androgynous voice travels from gentle and soothing to coarse and raw in primal chants. Thomas’ lyrics are influenced by his studies in poetry and philosophy, as well as the cultural commentary in Horror, Science Fiction, and Comedy.
Jay Thomas became known in Miami through his band Bluejay releasing two albums, Goblins and Mercury , and performing at festivals such as III Points, House of Creatives Music Festival, and TransAtlantic Music Festival. As a queer alternative solo artist, Jay Thomas released Fantasma Tropical and performed at Miami Beach Gay Pride and Wigwood.
His latest work is a concept album, Butterfly Parade, he won the Knight New Work grant to produce. The album addresses the collective trauma of quarantine and the divisiveness of contemporary culture. The first two songs: “Scream, Butterfly” and “Dream of the Underworld” are out now.

Originally hailing from Atlanta, Camilla Sims, known as Convict Julie has spent the past four years carving out a musical niche in Athens GA, she has never resonated with this little fish even more. She is a singer’s singer. Her songs create stories, delivering messages and affirmation to her listeners.
The 23-year-old meshes the galvanizing intimacy of a 1960s ballroom songstress with the new-school swagger of a rising rap star. Backed by her unparalleled vocals and her skill in songwriting, she is able to captivate listeners and incite emotions within them in a way only true artists could. Her sound is reminiscent of a blend of The Weeknd and Lauryn Hill. Playing bass while she croons, she is accompanied by guitar and drums. Having opened for new Atlanta heavyweights like Kenny Mason, Ben Reilly, and KEY!, as well as Kishi Bashi and SUSTO, Convict Julie continues to earn her stripes as a strong contender for the rising Atlanta music scene.
Hey Richard is a melodic yet heavy culmination of 4 humans who shred hard while giving back. The band met while volunteering for Girls Rock Charlotte. The social justice sentiments of rock camp reverberate through their fierce queercore soundwaves.
While a lot of Hey Richard’s songs deal with serious topics, the music is fun and the camaraderie between the band members creates dynamic and heart-felt live performances. Vulnerability and technical prowess make this band of womxn something special to behold.
