| Description & WNC LGBTQ Relevance / Impact | Loving Food Resources’ (LFR) mission is to provide food, health, and personal care items to those living with HIV/AIDS or anyone in Home Hospice Care regardless of diagnosis. All money raised from the Affair in Red will go to help feed our clients. |
| Your Qualifications | Since March of 2020, when LFR was forced to close its doors to client “shopping” because of the pandemic, we have continued to feed our clients through creative means (with the help of many dedicated volunteers). We have also managed to provide one-time only emergency boxes to anyone who contacted us with food insecurities. Thanks to LFR leadership, funds were secured through donations, grants, fundraisers, etc. to continue to purchase the food and personal care items our community needs. Also, because of leadership’s unrelenting hard work, LFR’s operating reserve went from two months to six months, which allows us to continue serving our clients. |
| Financial Details | Our budget for Affair in Red is $8500, raising this amount through sponsorships will allow LFR to benefit 100% from Ticket Sales and proceeds from the Silent and Live Auction. |
