	Our Vendor Load-In Leads play an essential role in the festival. We have about 3 hours in which to help almost 200 vendors, exhibitors, and sponsors unload their cars and set up their tents. Each vendor load-in lead is assigned a crew of 4 volunteers. Their role is to help arriving vendors to unload their cars and move their gear into place. They also help to deliver rented tents, tables, chairs, and weights to assigned spots and to set up the tents. The role of the Load-In lead is to greet incoming vendors and to assign them to a crew. This role requires excellent customer skills and grace under pressure. Everyone wants service - now. Everyone wants you to bend the rules for them. You've got cars blocking traffic and a parade coming through. Your role is to maintain order. Responsibilities Before Festival: Attend virtual (or face-to-face) orientation. Review load-in schedule, maps and lists. Festival Morning: Stand at one of 3 receiving posts. Check vendors in and assign volunteers to help them unload. End of Shift: Thank volunteers. Collect and repackage supplies. Provide feedback for next year. Time Commitment Mostly festival day - from 700 am to 11:30 am. We ask the leads to attend 1-2 virtual meetings ahead of time and to review their load-in sheets ahead of the events. What You Need We supply pretty much everything - even a clipboard. Just come prepared to manage 3 hours of non-stop questions. Benefits You are responsible for populating a small city in a matter of hours.
