KTG serves as a networking group for transgender, gender non-conforming, and caregivers to trans people in the Knoxville area. The group exists to connect; disseminate information about events; and share resources relevant to the TGNC experience in East Tennessee.

Looking to meetup with others that are trans/gender non-comforming/nonbinary or under “the trans umbrella”. Trans folks of any stripe are welcome including those that are questioning or at any point in their journey. Looking for it to be a relaxed non-formal, non-judgemental atmosphere. Keep in mind we are NOT a dating/fetish/hookup Meetup group.

Group Guidelines:

-The group exists to disseminate information and resources; get connected to resources, and build community relationships. Please think critically about whether what you post belongs in this space or if it would be better suited to your personal page.

-Absolutely no hate speech. Explicit racism, transphobia, ableism, body shaming will result in being banned.

-This is a trans and gender non-conforming space. Allies and support people with direct relations to trans folks are permitted, but please consider how much space you take up as a cis person in a space focused on trans issues.

-Please keep post content safe for work/minors.

-This is a closed, private group. Please respect people’s privacy in this space by not sharing others’ content; adding people; or contacting people from the group without explicit permission.
