As the economy recovers from the COVID-19 pandemic, getting sidelined workers back into the workforce is a priority. But, as the U.S. population becomes more diverse, some say increasing diversity in the workplace is a matter of survival. In York County, the Welcoming Workplaces initiative is designed to help employers prioritize inclusion in their workforce to make both the community and businesses stronger. Welcoming America is cited on page 36 as an example of how to put the skill of seeking and promoting counter-stereotypical information into practice.
