Responsible Alcohol Seller Program (RASP) Certification

RASP is North Carolina's online alcohol safety training that is required of volunteers who want to serve alcohol at events.  It only takes 15-20 minutes.
  1. Go to https://abc.nc.gov/Training
  2. If you have not previously registered with ABC …
    • Click “Register for Seller/Server training program.”
    • Click “Search for a business that I represent that currently holds permits OR has applied for permits.”
    • Type a Trade Name (use “Blue Ridge Pride”) and click “search.”
    • Select an option with the address: “Pack Square Park”.
    • Follow the prompts to fill out personal information about yourself. Click “Register.” You have now created an account with ABC.
    • Please note: if you created an account using a different organization or address, don’t worry.  Your certificate is valid for any event you volunteer for.
  3. Log in using your email and password.
  4. Click “Start Seller/Server course.”  Follow the prompts to complete the training material. Take the quiz that follows.  Reference: RASP Training Slides
  5. Upon passing, click “Print.” A PDF of your certificate will appear.
    • Download it. It will help us a lot if you save the file with the following name: “RASP Certificate – YOUR NAME – YYYY MMDD
  6. Go to our Certification Upload Page.  Add your name or edit your record and upload your file.

If you have a certificate already, it is good for 3 years.  You can re-download your certificate.  Login using your email and password, then click “Click to download Seller / Server Certificate.”
