Tai Chi for Arthritis and Falls Prevention developed by Dr. Paul Lam. Tai Chi for Arthritis was developed by medical professionals to improve fitness in older adults. This form has been shown to relieve pain, improve physical function, increase balance, and reduce the risk of falls.
This powerful mind-body exercise also helps to reduce stress and improve relaxation. The series runs for 20, 1-hour sessions offered twice a week at the Senior Opportunity Center in Asheville on Tuesdays from 11:00am-12:00 noon and Thursdays from 1:00-2:00pm.
