Faerietale Theatre

  • The BeBe Theatre 20 Commerce Street Asheville, NC 28801 (map)

Asheville-based Faerietale Theatre is reprising two shows from the March 2024 Asheville Fringe Arts Festival, where both were sold-out successes. They will be presented as a double bill at The BeBe Theatre in downtown Asheville, September 20-22, 2024, on the weekend of the Blue Ridge Pride Festival.

King Arthur's Body is a local production, and presents a wildly queer take on Arthurian legend. Written by Mountaine Jonas, it features five actors portraying the classic characters in an all-new way, directed by Vinny Vignette. Two Stars in the Vast Dark won the Audience Favorite award at the Fringe Festival. Presented by Found Creature, the duo of Theo Leverenz (they/he) and Charlotte Grey (she/her) from Minnesota bring their trans-centric sci-fi folk opera back to the Asheville stage.

Performances will take place at The BeBe Theatre on September 20 and 21 at 7:30PM and September 22 at 5PM. Tickets are $26 including fees. The small theatre will definitely sell out in advance.
