Advocacy Intern (part-time, seasonal)

Job responsibilities include:

  • Voter registration at events

  • Train others in how to register voters

  • Assist voters with obtaining ID and name change documentation

  • Research priority advocacy issues for LGBTQIA+ community

  • Draft communications on policy priorities

  • Host periodic postcarding/phone banking opportunities

  • Event/Outreach Support

  • Phone and Email Support during assigned work hours

  • Other duties, as related and assigned

Experience and training in voter registration is required.

Experience in nonprofits and with Canva and social media preferred.

This job is intended for university/college students studying the following that includes, but not limited to: Political Science, International Relations, Public Policy or Public Administration. This internship will help to give the student the professional experience needed to excel post-graduation.

We are happy to work with your professors in applying this work for course credit in marketing/communications.

Job Type: 2024 Temporary-Summer and Fall semester

Pay: $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 5 – 8 per week
