Join us the day before Trans Day of Visibility for a celebration of transgender life. Food will be available 12pm-1pm at the United Way building and we will skip, hop, and jump on over to Aston Park. This intergenerational event is for trans folks and allies of ALL ages! Are you trans? Do you have a trans kid? Are you a trans elder? Do you love on trans people in your life? Join us, cuties!
Choose your own adventure from 1pm-4pm! Seek Healing will be holding a connection practice/discussion group from 1pm-3pm where trans people and allies will come together and then split off into affinity circles to discuss: “How do we celebrate and protect trans lives? How are you managing grief? How is our liberation tied to trans liberation?” and more, then closing out by coming back together to debrief. Other activities include button making, beaded bracelet making, and a collaborative art piece. From 3pm-4pm people are welcome to visit the resource room inside the United Way Building in room 138 where there will be print resources, tea, and a calming space and continue to make art, buttons, bracelets, and connect with community. Hard stop at 4.
Masks required indoors. Most activities will be outside. Wheelchair accessible ramp to United Way building in the back. All gender bathrooms available. Provided food will be labeled with ingredients and we encourage all who bring food to label theirs as well. Blankets provided, bring your own chair.
